Sterilizing bottles?

Hey guys I was wondering if its necessary to boil baby bottles ? First time mom. Due Nov. 6! I wanna be prepared for anything!

I sterilize my bottles everyday. I just use the Avent microwave sterilizer, all you need is 2 minutes.. or 10 minutes tops including the washing of the bottles.. faster than boiling if you ask me.

You do not need to sterilize. Hot water and dish soap is just fine. Only time I would recommend sterilizing is if baby has thrush or any kind of cold as to decontaminate the germs from future feedings.

I've sterilized all bottles and binkies by boiling them just bc it makes me feel better. I also plan on washing them with hot water and soap before using them bc they'll have been sitting for a while.

Tbh you don't have to boil them. I just used really hot water and my dishwasher.

Yes I would sterilize everything including pacifiers for the first time and than I would wash with one water and soap. Once a month I did sterilize again to keep any smell away.

I like to boil them cause after a while starts smelling like ass lol but yeah water and soap is good but boiling it takes that nasty smell out another thing I do is when I was them I fill them with regular water and when I'm ready to use them I wash them out takes that funky smell from formula out cause girl that shit stinks! I sterilized before the first use then just use hot water and soap. If he's sick or throws a binkie on the floor in public I sterilize it but other than that soap and water is fine
