I want to begin with saying that this topic is going to be extremely controversial. If you take things very personally or an overall sensitive type of person, this post isn't for you. I have been on and off of CC for a little over a year now, and I've noticed that most are either Christian or some sort of religious. Nothing wrong with that at all! I respect your beliefs. I do believe in a God. I just don't know who HE is. So, the debate is, do you think that God is actually a perfect, humble, forgiving, peaceful type of being as he describes himself? Or have you taken notice that God may actually be very sinful, and possibly evil? I have read about this a few times, and have seen interviews about people who took apart the scriptures in the Christian bible about God and how he portrays himself, and then how he portrays us, who believe that this God is actually not a good person. People who are born gay - when being gay is sinful. Kids being born into poverty or abusive homes. Women being the submissive in their relationships. People being 'sinful' for liking to eat too much, or having lustful thoughts that they cannot control, or being too prideful - humans are naturally sinful, always, at all times, yet we are asked to be forgiven for being made this way. I'm sorry if this offends someone - but what kind of loving God would do that to people? Please, if you decide to comment no matter what your opinion is, be respectful!
