My ex and I have recently broken up, and I left quite a few things there. a Halloween costume, shampoo, a stuffed pig, slippers, a pair of cultured pearl earrings my mom gave to me as a gift... Would an officer come with me to pick it up? I feel like he'd give me a hard time and I don't feel comfortable going there alone because he is A) verbally abusive, and has been very petty since the break up and B) we've been in a physical altercation with each other once before and I don't trust that I'll be safe by myself if I go to pick my things up. Is that something a cop would do, or do I have to have more things of value (besides the earrings) to get it? does anyone know how that works?
