Breastfeeding help!
I need help! My daughter (12 weeks old) has been breastfed and bottle fed with expressed milk. We started the bottle early so dad and grandparents could be involved in feeding baby girl, and also bc I'll be headed back to work.
Over the past week, she will only nurse early in the morning, when my breasts are pretty full. As the day progresses, she starts nursing less and less.
She will latch but only nurse for a few minutes, pop herself off and scream bloody murder bc she's hungry.
By the evening, when I produce the least, she refuses to latch and nurse all together.
Over the past week, I've just been giving her bottles when she won't nurse bc she's obviously hungry and not nursing. How on earth do I change this behavior? Also, I don't always pump as much as she's been eating lately, so we've dipped into my frozen stash. Problem is, my body doesn't know she needs more bc she isn't telling my boobs to make more.
Frustrated - need to up my supply AND fix my baby. Any suggestions?
Going back to the Lactation Specialist on Monday, just bought y'all could share some wisdom! Thanks in advance!
