LEEP for Grade 3 abnormal cells...
Hi all. I'm scheduled for a LEEP on 11/3.
I had an abnormal pap (my first one!) back in June and they called me in October to say I needed a biopsy. I went for the biopsy 10/7 and it came back showing "severe" cell abnormality. My understanding is that this is considered "grade 3."
My questions are as follows...
Are these cells considered pre-cancerous or just "high-risk" for cervical cancer?
Any advice from those who have had a LEEP? I'm taking the next day off of work and will have the weekend to relax.
Were you put under for it? I won't be; they told me just to take Motrin beforehand.
Obviously, I will ask my doctor these questions when I get there, but I wanted to see what you ladies had to say.
