Contractions 10 mins apart

I am 37 weeks and 1 day today Yesterday morning I started having contractions around 8:00 am.. they continued all day.. around 3 pm they started to get closer and more painful but bare able. I decided it was time to get checked by 7 pm they were 10 mins apart and I was dilated to 2 cm and 80% effaced..(I have been dilated at 2 for 2days now but the last time I had my cervix checked I was only 50% effaced) so I was happy the hear I was making progress but not enough for them to keep me 😒 after an hour I was still at 2cm .. my contractions were getting stronger but I wasn't dilating enough for them to keep me. Just as I get was about to leave I started to lose my mucus plug. They sent me home with some sleeping pill..I still have contractions when I moved too much and Up until this morning I have been having gobs of my mucus plug come out.. how much longer?!!?! I want to hold my baby now 😂😒
