crib question?

At night my sweet 1 week old sleeps in her bassinet in our bedroom with us. But our master bedroom is way in the back of the house & if I'm doing laundry or dishes I am not sure if I would hear her.. her monitor is in her bedroom permantly attached to the wall above her crib. So my question is, do you think it is ok for her to nap in her crib where I can see her on her monitor as well as hear her better just in general? Or is 1 week to young for her crib? Thanks!!!
