Cold sore medication?

Is there anything I can take for a cold sore? My doctors office just closed and I can't call.. I'm 39 weeks pregnant

Vanilla extract keep applying with tip often. Leave it on.  Dries it up. Helps if it's in fridge too.

Agree with the person who said abreva sucks. I like camphophenique for topical. If you can get valacyclovir right away, it works so well, but no point in taking it once  the sore is there. When not pregnant, the vitamin (mineral?) lysine works well early on, as well, but I think we have to avoid it while pregnant. If you get them from time to time, have your doctor give you A valacyclovir prescription so you are prepared for next time.

Use a cotton swab with alcohol once let it sit 30 seconds, follow with cotton swab with peroxide 30 seconds, follow with tea tree oil on a q-tip leave it on. Once it dries put Carmax or lip softener to keep it moist so it doesn't crack with q-tip so you don't spread it. The alcohol dries it out. The peroxide keeps it from spreading, the tea tree oil will help heal. Reapply the tea tree oil every 3 hrs for 1st day following with lip softener. Then it should be almost gone and you can just use lip softener so it doesn't crack. I've had them my whole life they are awful. I've tried every over the counter/Rx medication. This works the best for me. Hope it helps.

This sounds disgusting but my great grandmother taught me this and it actually works! Whenever I got cold sores she made me put earwax on it. It sounds disgusting like I said but it always worked
