am i in labor????

Question

FTM. 39w 3d not sure if i'm in labor or what i should do😩
since about 7pm my stomach on & off has been tightening up and within the past 2.5-3 hours there has been pressure in my lower abdomen my lower back has started to hurt and hasn't stopped and last may be TMI but my butt has been hurting.

could this be the first stage of labor?? what should i do?? please help

Yep. But also you'll know it's labour. Like I was told oh you'll know when your in labour and I was so confused and I just didn't get what they meant and then holy shit I knew I was in labour. Same as when I miscarried I knew I was going through labour and when I had my daughter I could tell then what my limit was and how long I could go before I had to go to the hospital. Download a contraction timing app and when you feel your belly tighten that's when you start it and once your belly stops then you stop it and it should keep track of them. Depending on how far away from the hospital you are you could go when your contractions at 7-5 mins apart if they last 30 sec each time. I had fluctuating contractions, they were every 2-3 mins but would last anywhere from 20 seconds to 1 min. So o went to the hospital cuz it was very weird. They normally even out in length.

Yes!!! :D sounds like you are! But when i got weird feeling in my butt i was at 9cm and it was time to push! 
Dont let people scare you off! It is not as bad as they tell you :D you ve got this :D btw i dont know if you are planning it or not but epidural is a lifesaver! I literally felt no pain after that and had the best birthing experience!

Yes Mam! You are gonna be an official Mommy REAL SOON!!! I had the same pains with both my babies. My first they had to break my water and the second it broke on its own. Go for a walk and try to get your contractions closer together. Even if they are Braxton Hicks the walking will get things goin! So excited for you!!! The real pain will begin soon but I promise it is oh so worth it. Drugs are our Friend!!! Be brave if you choose but be open to the idea.  There is no shame in getting an epidural. I opted out with my first and got it ASAP with this Baby. Good Luck! Have all your bags ready and make sure your Hubby has all the phone # he needs to notify everyone of the Good news. Can't wait to see pics 👶🏼

I wouldn't go by how far apart your contractions are. I almost had my baby at home cause they were consistent lol.

And you mean your butt hurts like you have to poop? If so I'd go to the hospital now and tell the admitting nurse it feels like you need to have a bowel movement. They'll check you real quick cuz that means baby is right between your hips and is pushing right down and it's time to start pushing. You probably want to be with a nurse and Dr's when you feel that urge cuz your body just takes over and your brain turns off and it's pure instinct.

You definitely need to time your contractions. If you can't tell, and if you are in a lot of pain and believe you may be in labor, go to the hospital and have them check you.
