Help?!?

My LO went to the doctor today and got her shots. That was at 820 this morning. It's been almost 12 hours and she has only eaten about 8 oz. She will not eat, bottle or breast. She has a slight fever and all she wants to do is sleep. Is this normal?

Count her wet diapers. If she is not urinating enough then she needs to be seen. Give her some Infant Tylenol. She is uncomfortable and this will help with fever and discomfort. My Ped has me dose my LO 30 min before her shots to prevent the initial fever and onset of pain after her vaccine. I would call the advice nurse!

Yep. Give some tylenol or advil based off weight. Babe may have some swelling and busing and redness along with some heat around the injection site, there may be a slight hard lump there too, there could be loss of appetite, mild fever, general crankiness and being tired, babe may not be very playful or moving around as much as before, could also get a diaper rash.
You could give babe a nice bath with some Epsom salts added to help with the tenderness and possible swelling and bruising at the injection sites and it'll make babe feel better too. Then try some nice cozy pj's and just have cuddles. Take the day as relaxing and don't do much if you can avoid going out babe will be happier most likely. My daughters 1yr old shot reactions were bad this time. She never reacted to her it her shots but these ones she got all the symptoms I just listed. She had a miserable 4 days and now day 5 she's better like she never even got the shots. There's some slight bruising at the site but that's it.

If you are worried, wake her up for a little bit to eat and set her down once she's had enough. Her body is working on mock fighting the vaccine so all her energy is going into that.
