I was wondering if I could get some ideas. 

First of all, I'm not really into the traditional baby shower where women only come and we eat like snacks. I personally find those boring and really want to do a BBQ or something that is co-ed with games, food, beer, and of course, mocktails. 

I'm also having issue with registry. I really don't mind if friends help because we would love it, but I hate the pressure of expecting a gift. I was thinking rather, we set up some sort of page that shows our registered items and if people want to give and donate to that specific item, then they can. It would also show how much closer we are to the goal of the item. (Crib, bottles, stroller, etc.) I'm hoping that this takes the pressure off of feeling like you need to buy a large gift and instead, our friends can come together and donate what they can for that item. I also am hoping this keeps people from getting us a TON of clothes. We already are set on that, but I know people buy clothes because they can't buy expensive items. 

Does anyone know of an app or program that describes my needs? Have any other moms done this type of shower? Was it successful?
