how do you combat sensitive teeth?

With my first pregnancy and currently I have had the most sensitive teeth. Even the air is hurting them. I have a dentist appointment soon just wondering if anyone else is in my boat has any quick fixes.

I keep seeing commercials for some product that applies like a whitener strip but the purpose isn't whitening, it's something that combats the sensitivity for a month at a time, I think. Google it!

I have always had sensitive teeth like that and I use sensodyne pronamel. The regular sensodyne hasn't worked for me in the past, and never the whitening kind. The gentle clean type is heavier on the fluoride and not very harsh but works well! I also cut out orange juice or other citrus fruits. Such a pain...
