I got preeclampsia
I got preeclampsia. With my elevated blood pressure, gestational diabetes, age, and history of two previous c-sections, I had no options but to have another scheduled C. I was very upset!
My girl is so pretty! She is bigger than I feared she would be! Born at 7 lbs, 6oz, she lost 9% of her body weight while we were recovering. Right before we left the hospital, she went from 9% to 8%! And was gaining!
I fought like hell against the tubal ligation. I just didn't want it! The arguments I was given? I don't plan to have more kids. I'm already open and under anesthetic. It's only adds a few moments more to the C-section...
So I found this cartoon about a naked woman walking into a dry cleaners asking to have her birthday suit taken in? I asked the doc to take a few inches off my over hang, (belly). The same arguments for tubal ligation being valid for a few inches of plastic surgery...
