what's going on?

I started my period in the 12th, ended on the 18th. But I've been spotting every day since then ranging from brown to red in colour. I have cramps and my right ovary is paining, I've never spotted this long. Aside from when I first came off the pill, I spotted for 10 days in place of a period. Had anyone else experienced this? Any insights? I have an appointment on the 25th to get medication/advice for my thyroid, and I've been ttc for 6 months with a possible chemical pregnancy the end of August/first of September.
