Period sex tips?

My boyfriend and I don't see each other very often and we get to tomorrow but I just started my period today? but! We talked it over and decided we would like to try sex while I'm on my period anyway, so I was just wanting to hear some tips on how to stay less messy and just get the best experience out of it, thanks!

Shower is definitely the least messy. 
But it's true, you'll hardly bleed during sex. I've only had one boyfriend who was comfortable with this and we use to just lay towels down during sex (I still lay towels down, less cleanup).

You can do it in the shower if you're really afraid of the mess but it's stupidly minimal. Throw a towel down and don't worry about it. Even if your flow is heavy, when you're having sex, it stops. It eases cramps and can even shorten your period by a day or more. We do it all the time. I think the sensation is way better then too. Have fun!

You will bleed more during the sex and I just throw a old towel down and keep extras handy to while off than jump in shower! Or start in shower!

I don't have sex on my period. But if you just started I would say not to do it cause a women normally bleeds heavy the first couple of days.

Shower or lay a towel under you. You can buy those period cups (sorry i cant remember the name of them) but they are by the tampons at Walmart. It gelps reduce the blood. Maybe keep baby wipes handy so he can clean off
