Is Madolyn too much? I wanted to name my baby girl after my husbands grandmother, but I still wanted baby to have her own name. Grandmas name was Madonna. I was debating between Maddison & Madilyn, but Madilyn spelled with an o instead of an i. I tried to make it unique & comparable to Madonna, lol. I think this spelling is cute, but I haven't gotten supportive reactions? Ehhh.

In the end, I really don't care what anyone else thinks. I really adore Madolyn. No ones really had a good reason as to how it "looks dumb". One said it's pronounced dumb... It's Madeline/Madilyn with an o, it's still sounds the same? & someone else said what about her nickname, she'll be Maddo? No... she'll be a Maddy. Not sure why she couldn't be at least. I really liked Maddison in the beginning, but I just couldn't make it more familiar with Madonna, unless I used the same context... Madosyn, but I don't adore that version nearly as much. So I think she'll be a Madolyn, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a choice that would result in shaming her.
