So I have brought this guy up before, but ill give a little recap. Basically we've known each other going on 2 years now, and he's always been a gentleman. Always. Let's call him... Tev. He's never brought up anything sexual or came off as a hornball (and still doesn't). We've hung out before and always had a great time, but this time, it was different. Now let me make note of this though: everytime we hang out (which isn't much) when he first sees me hugs me and smiles really big, then he looks at my face first then travels down my body without complimenting. Which I find...interesting. In the past it's only happened once, when we first see each other, but last night, it kept happening.

Just last night, I went to his kickback for his bday that he invited me to. I finally met all of his family and friends and they really made me feel special inside (especially his mother). So when his friends got there, I noticed that there were absolutely NO other women there, it was solely his male friends. Now I don't know if he invited any other female friends besides me and they just couldn't come, or if I'm like his top priority of females friends (lol). Mind you, he's one of those a nerdy guy who loves video games and cartoons (which I love) that you'd see in the back of class in high school (we went to the same high school but I didn't know or talk to him back then/we met through a friend later on). So as the night gets started, I offer to see if he needs any help, and he's like "Sure, you wanna come out in the back with me?" So I hop up and go out to the backyard where the cooler is to help him put some drinks in there. When we get out there, he does his usual "head to toe stare" as he's conversing with me. It's kind of subtle, but it definitely felt like he was checking me out. So much so to a point where I felt vulnerable and a little insecure. Here's what I had on: A black sleeveless top (showing no cleavage what so ever), it was kind of crop toppy so it showed a little bit of my torso, some flower high wasted shorts (weren't tight at all, quite loose and airy, and stopped at a reasonable length on my thighs), some cool black slip on wedge heels, and went easy on the jewelry (only earrings). My makeup was actually really on point and my hair was big and naturally curly. I was really wondering what he was thinking (as I do everytime he does that to me) because I don't dress provocatively, but I do tend to dress up a little when I'm around him. When I first walked in Tev's house, his mother and grandma complimented me on "how much of a beauty I was" and couldn't stop smiling and staring at me.

As the night went on, me, Tev and his friends were playing board games, and card games, sipping on drinks, and laughing and joking.

Sidenote: I notice that he's always a little nervous when it comes to me being in his prescence. For example, at one point in the night, him and his friends wondered off and talked for a little bit while I sat by myself (which didn't really bother me) but I saw he was more at ease.

So some of his friends had to work in the morning and decided to leave, while a couple others stayed later. Those that decided to stay a little later, decided to go home by around 12:30 ish am, leaving the last friend and me left. So we hung out more in his backyard and talked a little until his mother came out and said something to him in Spanish, then his other friend was ready to leave. So tev asked if I wanted to ride with him to go take his friend back home, and of course agreed. We all go to his car, and his friend let's me sit in the front seat like a gentleman. After we drop the friend off, we head back to his house and at this point it's like 1:30ish am. We walk back in and his mother greets us (she's such a lovely person) and now the atomosphere is really cozy and settled down. I sit in the kitchen and talk with him and his mother, and then his stepfather walks in and greets me (we had been at work so couldn't make it earlier). Then his stepfather asks me a bunch of questions, really nice guy. Good people all around. After that, Tev tells me:"you know if you need a ride home, I can take you home, I wouldn't mind at all". Mind you, we live on opposite sides of the city, so out neighborhoods are far. I had a ride already so he wouldn't have to hassle me all the way home in the wee hours of the night, so I let him know that it was okay, and I thanked him anyway. So he asked if I wanted to stick around for a little while longer, and his mother insisted that we watched a movie or went to his room and played some video games (which I was completely cool with). So we're in his room talking as he sets up his game system and I play with his little brother who is about 3. I wear glasses (prescription) like the big nerdy ones, and I took them off to put them on his little brother to play around with him. At that moment, tev turns around from toying with the game and he sees me without glasses (which he's never seen) and really looks at me, more than he has the whole night. His lil brother broke my glasses (😳😂) eventually and tev got really upset. But I have another pair so I didn't trip about it, I just laughed it off, which seemed to shock him. Then we go about talking about how bad my vision is and I get down in front of the tv (so I can see) and keep playing and laughing with his little brother. At this point his attention is only on me and his brother, and he just smiles and laughs at us. I was really looking forward to playing those video games with tev...until my ride got there (unexpectedly). I told him "Omg my ride's here" (😢) and his reaction was shocked and he seemed pretty bummed about me having to go. He got up and looked out the window as if he wanted further verification or something (lol) and I told him what color the car was. I gathered my purse and, made my way out to the living room to hug his mother goodbye (she was the only one up besides me and Tev at this point). I thank her for everything and tev leads me to the door, I give him a hug and I thank him for inviting me and for the great time I had. When I'm walking to the car and when I get to the car door to open it and get in, I see him still outside the front door (which I was unaware of, I thought he had went inside) and he waved at me again and at the driver. ☺

So overall it was honestly one of the best nights I ever had, his family treated me like a princess. And let me add this info in, as the party was progressing, I took photos with all of them, and Tev's little sister took group photos of us all as well. And I noticed some of the family members speaking in Spanish and then looking at me and smiling. I just wonder why. Maybe it's the culture difference and the fact that they've never seen him with a girl of my race? (I'm a black mixed female, and he's Hispanic from a Catholic background). I don't know. But I really dig him, not quite sure how he feels about me as a person yet, maybe he's just really reserved. And I find it cute how he messaged me earlier today thanking me for coming and how he's so sorry about my glasses 😂. We're planning upcoming "dates" (?) Because he's always asking me to go out to eat with him on his days off.
