We didn't. It was co-ed and no one really wanted to watch gifts being opened. It was also held in a crowded NYC restaurant, so there really wasn't space to open them. We sent thank-you cards very quickly, though.

I didn't want to do it but ended up doing it . I was the type of person that didn't go to prom because I hate being around a lot of people at once , we have about 40-50 people at baby shower & I actually got so sick I was stuck on the toilet for about 20 minutes with nerves ; but my husband wanted to do it and open gifts so we did it together . Good luck!
