My husband is currently deployed, and has been since I've been 5 weeks. He won't return till a month before my due date. He has missed everything except the gender reveal. He was able to skype me during the ultrasound. He had no idea that he was skyping me the exact same time I was finding out the gender. And when I answered and told him what was going on he was elated! But other then that he has missed everything else... the kicks, watching me grow, and the maternity photos...well I was going to wait to buy the big items till he got home so he can be a part of some of it. So I've been only buying the small items.. well my mother in law called me yesterday and said she bought us a stroller, and that was one of the items I wanted to wait to get till he got home.. I told her thanks and that I was going to wait till my husband got home to get the bigger items.. and she goes off telling me I shouldn't wait and that I need to get everything right now... to get her to stop I just told her we appreciate the stroller and we will get it from her when she comes up in february for the birth.. I just feel bad because he also wanted to pick out the stroller when he got back and now I have to tell him he can't :( I know I should be happy that one of the expensive items is off the list to get but I really did want to wait till he got home.. am I being selfish?
