No, just because your opk was negative doesn't mean you ovulated yet. What it means is your LH surge ended...and you're fertile now. It's helpful to remember that the "p" in opk stands for "predictor" or "prediction." OPKs and fertility monitors tell you you're if your fertile and predict you will ovulate in the near future (12 to 48 hour from your last positive). That way you can know when to have sex since you need living sperm waiting for the elusive egg in order to get pregnant. You can get pregnant having sex after you ovulate, but it'd have to be almost immediately after and it's really rare for it to happen. And it'd be near impossible to time unless your being monitored by a doctor... And even then you can miss the moment. That's why having the foresight of opks works well. Sperm can live up to 72 hours while waiting for the egg... If opks only told us we ovulated, they'd be pretty useless. In short, get baby dancing! Lots of baby dust to you!
opk question!
I know this may be a stupid question but I still want to ask it. So any help, I would be grateful! So thank you in advance lol.
I hit peak yesterday morning with clearblue advanced opk. Then after work, I just took a regular opk and it was positive with clear bold two lines (yayy). So, last night we bd. Was planning on bd today as well. Today during at work, just for the hell of it I took an opk- there was a line but obviously not a positive lol here is where my stupid question comes in -- does that mean I ovulated already? Lol
