Ultrasound insight, please?

Question

I don't have my first appointment until Nov 21st, Which isn't until I am 12 weeks and that is just for the heart beat. Said we won't get ultrasound done until 20weeks. How are some of you getting ultrasounds done so early?

I just want to see my little blueberry. With having lost our last baby , I am having anxiety about waiting...

It seems that every doctor has their own way of doing things. My dr has an ultrasound in the exam room and apparently I get to see the baby at every visit. He does the ultrasound himself (or at least he did the first one).  I know that there are some places that don't have the machine and you have to go to a special office for the ultrasound. It also seems to be very different by country (with the USA as extra varied because of so many different insurance types).

My Dr and even when I switched to my midwife do early ultrasounds for dating purposes and viability. Everywhere is different :)

I dunno about everyone else but I will see the doc and have ultrasounds more often because I'm high risk. I guess it just depends on your history?
