Pap smears?

What do they feel like? What is the whole preconception checkup like?

This is kind of gross but I've always thought a Pap smear feels like when you pull out an unusually dry tampon. Not painful, but just slightly uncomfortable. Super quick, though, definitely nothing to fear!
