Anyone else live far away from family and friends and not know anyone?

I know a few people where I live, but not like back home, and not with kids.
It's been my husband and I now for over 10 years. I feel like my baby should be socialized more and I'm feeling guilty about it. She's 4 months old. Anyone else? Suggestions, comments?

Find mommy groups...stroller groups, baby wearing groups, mommy/baby yoga, dance, music, and swimming classes.  Join a MOPS group.  Join a church.  😊

I live half a planet away from my friends and family and I really only have my inlaws here to rely on. It isn't easy but it doesn't quite worry me. I'm not much of a socialiser myself and don't miss the social stuff. I make sure LO gets plenty of time with her grandparents and uncles/aunts and once she is a little older I'm going to start taking her to baby swimming and story time at the library. That way she can socialise without me having to do much socialising with other parents. (Haha that sounds terrible but I guess I'm just an introvert who isn't much into making an effort with new people)

I'm in a different country from my family and haven't seen them for 2 years now we struggled a bit with money plus having my ID and passport stolen made it a lot more difficult to go over... my daughter is 4 and she seen my family less than 5 times in total im really wanting to go now that i have my little man my mum would love to meet him too my family is really important for me and we do speak on skype almost every day 
It's just me my husband and my kids and of course my really good friend that helps me a lot specially while my husband's at work I dont think i could do it without her help to be honest

I'm in the same boat. We moved to a new city when our son was 2 mo old. My parents live in another country and my in laws live 4h away, but they don't have much interest in visiting other than the holidays like thanksgiving. As for how i cope with being alone
-I tried to meet with other parents in the apartment complex and found a lady with a son very similar age. We took a stroller trip to a coffee shop. That was nice! 
-i went to a la leche league meeting with the hopes of meeting new parents. That did not yield any contacts, but still it was a nice hour to discuss things.
-i discovered the closest library to my place, they have lap singing for babies as young as mine, which I haven't tried yet.
-as a couple we did some blind friend dates (friend of a friend), that was also nice but nothing regular.
This may not be applicable for  you, but since my family and friends live in another country with an 8h difference(our day time is their evening-night), I do lots of video calls with them so they can talk to my son (and me) even if it's through a phone screen. Also I try to attend events in the area organized by my country's cultural association.

Regularly though, my husband and i get sad about leaving our friends in the city we lived before (him 10 years and me 5 years).

I live far away from my family and friends. 6.5 hours. I live in a super small town too....no mommy and me and classes or anything like that. (We might have a story thing at the library but prob not for infants) I don't have any friends actually where I live. Lol. My fiance is also 17 years older than me so his family is way older too. We get by though .....even though it sounds depressing I'm happy most of the time! Lol we visit my family every 8 weeks or so and we do travel a lot. 
I'm working on getting him to move closer to my family and to a more populated place so I can join some mommy and me things! Lol

Try story time at your local library. It's a good way to meet parents with kids the same age as yours.

Completely know how you feel. Although my parents don't live too far away but they rarely, if ever come and visit or get in contact. My husband is in the military so I'm finding it tough being a mum to two with no real support network. I can't get to groups as they never have groups where you can take both kids to them. I don't feel too guilty that my youngest isn't socialising too much he's happy watching his brother most of the time and i have a few friends with babies the same age so he has a little contact. I didn't do much socialising with my first and he is super confident and will make friends everywhere he goes. 😊

My son 4 months also we live over 4,000 miles away from family. (Military life) I have two good girlfriends that also have children. One I don't hangout with as much because her son is 3 but when he is around my son he loves him! I usually don't do play dates that often but when I do he loves them! I can't wait to move back home

My family and friends are all in Asia. My husband's family and relatives live close to us but I barely see them. So basically it just me and my husband that she sees everyday.. and also maybe the reason why she hates being in parties and big crowd.
