Is it weird to celebrate sexual assault anniversary?

I was sexually assaulted 13 years ago and as the anniversary comes closer (December 7th) I wonder if it is weird to celebrate the miles stone? I have struggled with depression and anxiety because of this and was just curious if it is weird to like have a party celebrating overcoming the assault?

It's definitely not something that is common, but as someone who also dealt with traumatizing events and got PTSD as a result, it may be a good thing to keep positive about it! You went through something awful and I think it's important to remain positive, and be happy about overcoming grief and mental illness. It's certainly better and healthier than going through a bad anxiety and/or depression episode during the traumaversary.
