Anyone have success stories using castor oil as a natural inducer at home?

Update... it worked! My water broke at 3:40am Wednesday night and contractions started at 5:15am. My little man was born October 27th at 4:14pm.

My first I was 4 days over due and my ex mil gave me the drink and told me to drink it... it was waaaaaaaaay too much caster oil anyways I drank it at like 12:15am and my water broke by 5:45 am... and he was born 4:15 the next morning

Second baby... I did my research and at 39 weeks 2 days I took 2 oz and that's all it took started having mild contractions... seriously not bad at all about an hour later... went on a walk, took a nap, went on another walk... at about 6 they were gettin intense so I went to the hospital and was a 7cm dialated 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻and he was born at 11:57 pm!

My aunt took it with her daughter when she was 39 weeks she got severe diarrhea and threw up the entire time she was in labor and my cousin ended up swallowing her meconium and had to be in the nicu. And my cousin's wife drank it and didn't go into labor but got diarrhea/vomiting so bad that she became severely dehydrated and had to get IV fluids. I would not recommend it bc the risks are way too high for it to just possibly  put you into labor. I would try other ways to induce instead

I drank castor oil at 41 weeks with my first was only dilated to a 1 and went into labor after pooping for 7 hours was in labor for 12 hours and he was here with 15mins of pushing. He didn't poop like people say, but I didn't know that was a risk at the time that I did it. But now he's a very smart healthy 2 year old!

I tried it with my first born day before due date and it didn't do anything...not even in the pooping department. Ended up being induced on my due date with him.

I was contracting a lot with my second for a couple weeks. My mother in law came to stay with us and she joked that I needed to get the baby out so she could help as long as possible. I told her my only other option was castor oil (I had literally tried everything else) so My cousin and husband made me a smoothie with 2 tbs castor oil in it and I drank it at 39 weeks fully expecting nothing to happen. Drank it at 9pm woke up at 12:30pm feeling like I needed to poop. I had like 5 good poops before 4:30 and was contracting pretty consistently I tried to take a bath to ease the pain but it didn't work so I woke up my husband and we went in at 5am, was dilated to a 4...had bad diarrhea for HOURS it was awful!!! Had baby at 12:15pm. :)

Ok my last pregnancy I drank 1/2. Not even thirty minutes later I was barfing and pooping for hour's. I never went into labor on my own and had Baby Davey 2 week's later. I'm now 36 week pregnant with my third son and I have not fully decided to go through this process again or opt. For prime rose pills 2 by mouth and 2 in the nana before bed. Now this is only to start dilation.

I did. My doc told me to take only 2 tbsp of it because I was constipated and didn't poop for 5 days and nothing else worked! I was 38weeks exactly. 30 min after taking it I was so relieved. Was on toilet for an hour or so.. but no contractions or anything. Didn't do anything for me besides help clean me out!

Well girls, I took the first dose of castor oil at 5:45pm and started having diarrhea at 8:15. I've gone 3 times already! So we will see!!
