Anyone else not dilated yet ??

Question

So I'm 36w2d due November 21st and I had doctors appointment today.. They checked me and I was told I'm not dilated at all yet. Has anyone else experienced this around this time? Does this mean I'm going to go late? I really don't want to go overdue; and I really am trying to avoid being induced at all costs, I really want to go on my own. Also sick of being pregnant already haha

Every one dilates at a different rate, every separate pregnancy. No worries mama.

37 weeks 4 days & I had an appointment yesterday still not dilated 😞 I'm over being pregnant too. Even though I only have two weeks left I wish I would make any kind of process. I don't want to be overdue. My doctor suggested sex ( which I haven't had ) nipple stimulation and castor oil. Or wait till next week appointment to see if I made any changes so he can strip my membranes. The only thing I'm probably will try is nipple stimulation. I'm disgusted by sex since I've been pregnant 🙄😒

I'm due Nov. 25th and at my last appointment I asked when they would start checking me down there. The answer was that they wouldn't be! I think the midwife was trying to make the point that they don't care how dilated I am until labor begins.
I would like to know though..

I'm at 38 weeks and baby is as high as can be. But, the baby can drop at any point and I can dilate at any given moment as well. I'm a ftm and I feel like I should at least be 1cm dilated!!

I was dilated at 36w. At 37 he said he would be nice and say I'm 1/2cm 38 he said I was maybe a 2.

I haven't had any internal exams yet. I'm 37+4.

It means nothing. You can be dilated for weeks and not go into labour, or you could suddenly go into active labour and start dialating, even if you weren't dialated before. This is why a lot of place don't even check unless you're in labour or they suspect something, it isn't really an indication of whether your labor is near or not. I'm also due November 21st and haven't had any checks for dialation.

I was stuck at a 1cm til 41 weeks when I drank castor oil and went into labor that was with my first 2 years ago. I have my 36 week appt tomorrow I don't know if I'll be checked or not. Fingers crossed for dilation, I'll be induced the 14th due the 19th cause if my cervix or anything is progressing induction will be really hard I think. 😩

Anyone else not dilated yet ??
