Do you think me and my partners age difference is okay?

Me and my partner are 10 years apart in age. I am 18 and he is 28. I've been told by many other adults older and younger than him that I am extremely mature for my age which I believe I am as I sometime cannot relate to my peers however sometimes i can do things to show my age. Oh and he's also my best friends uncle but they're basically like brother and sister... Just trying to figure out how to tell my mother as she still sees me as a child.

It's because you are still young. Developmentally an 18 year old and a 28 year old are light years apart. I'm not saying it can't work, but it a few years it will feel like less of an issue. Right now it seems more like he's into the barely legal... and that's kind of icky... if I were your mother, I'd freak out too

My husband is 9 years older than me and it works for us . When you're only 18, the age difference seems much more of a big deal , but as you get a few years older it's not a big deal . Many older couples I know are 10-15 years apart . So it's not that crazy lol

My parents are 10 years apart. I make jokes about their age difference to them, but I don't think it's a big deal. I would prefer my man to be 2-9 years older than me. You're both adults consenting adults, so I would say you're good.
