cervix check?

What was your experience and how far along? I'm going in tomorrow at 37 weeks and if offered not sure if I want to say yes or no. First pregnancy so what you can tell me helps a lot! Thanks mamas!

I am 38 weeks had mine checked 2 days ago I was dilated 2 1/2cm and 80% effaced. It's uncomfortable when they check you. But not painful

I got checked last week at 35 weeks only to confirm my son was breech. Otherwise my midwives don't check until you're in active labor per request, as it's not necessary

I'm 36 weeks and got my first cervix check my dr says if I want them I can request it but she doesn't require it unless it seems like it's a need. But I like to see my progress, I'm dilated to a 1.5cm and 50% effaced. I like to see if I've progressed from my last appointment so I'll ask for them if I feel up for it. I personally am not bothered by them but it is my second time around so it's nothing new.

I have gotten mone checked sonce 37 weeks.  First time was not painful at all.  Second was a bit uncomfortable and yestirday was a not so bad.  Its not that bad and it only takes a few seconds.  You will be just fine.  i should mention that my cervix is high and the doctor has to really reach in which might be why it was uncomfortable.

Mine started checking at 36 weeks. Hurt like hell but I liked knowing that there was some progress down there :-)

My Dr. said she will start checking at my 38 week appointment

It didn't hurt I got checked at 33 weeks for early, was fine, then again at 36 just felt a little uncomfortable my cervix is now softened. I have a stupid yeast infection too though so maybe that made it uncomfortable.

My Dr started checking me at 36 weeks and she will check me every week from here on out. I don't have a problem with it and I also like to see where I stand with progression. When my Dr checks me she is very gentle and it doesn't hurt, just feels uncomfortable. But I had an experience with a nurse who hurt me really bad and I spotted afterwards. I think it depends who does it and now. Im a FTM
