I went in the hospital last wednesday october 19th at 10pm to be induced. They started cervadil at midnight... i started to contract without pitocin at about 6-7 am.. by 9am i started pitocin. Contractions were close and strong. I received the epidural only at noon because my blood pressure was low and the anasthesia would make it drop more ... it was about 85/56. I got the epidural and it went lower 80/49 i threw up and felt really sick. It went back up a little in the next hour 92/60. I was only 4cm dilated at about 4pm i wanted to cry!!!! Everyone that day was having c section and was scared to go down that road too! At 5:50 pm they came to check me and i was 10cm dilated ! I couldnt feel the urge to push i was so nauseous and was begging the nurse to give me something as i felt so sick ! She said she couldnt give me anything as i was ready to push and could feel the head. I told her i couldnt as i didnt have the enrhy i was feeling so sick! My doctor finally showed up at 6:00pm where she gave me something in my IV for nausea and then i started shaking uncontrollably it was scary. Then i blacked out. I dont remember what happened except waking up with an oxygen mask and about 5 doctors in the room. I went in severe hypotension. 75/40 and passed out. They had to push some medication in my IVS to bring me back. I opened my eyes and i remember that i couldnt hear anything i just saw my husband crying. After a few seconds i was back. The doctor just kept telling me the baby needs to come out now ! You need to try to get him out now! So while on oxygen i gave him three small push and he was out at 18:20pm. 2nd degree tear. I honestly didnt feel anything ! 8lbs 7oz Blake Edward Polley. It was definetly a different experience than my first delivery!!!! I stayed at the hospital for 3 days. Now we are home baby has a slight jaundice but is doing good! We do need to see a urologist as he has enlarged kidneys!
