So for those of you who don't know Eastenders is a soap opera in the U.K. They always do stupid scenarios and scenes but they've touched on something that I think is so important. One of the characters Bex has a boyfriend called Shakil, she's just had her 16th birthday and was worried about having sex. She assumed that because she was 16 her boyfriend and everyone else would be expecting her to have sex. They showed how it was playing on her brain and when her boyfriend came round she said that she didn't want to have sex just yet. I think it's amazing that they're showing the hardships that you get girls go through and the pressure involved. After she said she didn't want to have sex her boyfriend called her 'frigid' (which I'm sure many of us have heard before) this was very important to the storyline as it showed that no matter what a boy says to you, you don't have to do anything. Then in tonight's episode it showed him grovelling to get her back and that he shouldn't have said that. It shows also to girls that boys say these things but really they do care about things just as much as women do. Sorry if this is poorly written I am half watching the show still! Bravo eastenders 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
