He's Here! *Birth story*
He's finally made his appearance! Nico Michael made his grand debut at 1:06pm weighing in only at 6lbs 6oz.....but every ounce of perfection....after a textbook easy pregnancy, the labor was just as easy....this being baby #4 you like to think you're prepared but I was nervous!
We had our scheduled induction for today at 5:30am....we planned the induction because my last two labors were very fast, and my doctor and I decided it would be the best for us to induce. I was already dilated to a 4 and 80% effaced, so induction it was.
We got a call at 5:25 as we were walking in that they just had an entire stream of women walk in, and asked if we could come back at 7:30, or we could wait in the waiting room to see if something opened up, we decided to just go home and relax....so we got here at 7:30, by the time we got our room...checked in..and all set it was 9am....my doctor came in at 9:20, broke my water, and started the pitocin
Within a hour I was a 8, within another 10min I was 10 and pushing he was pushed out with 1 contraction.
Because of how quick he came out, he was "shocked" so it took him over 10min to breathe......I have never been so scared in my life. We didn't get s chance to cut the cord, or do immediate skin to skin...but he's now healthy, and happily laying on my chest. He's having a hard time figuring this nursing thing out, but it's been a rough day so we aren't to concerned.....he's very loved. And we are so happy he is here! He's completed our family!
