How much are your medical bills?

Every pregnancy appointment you have and then the day you actually give birth and stay in the hospital. How much does that all cost?

My first pregnancy was around $5k. That's after insurance paid 90%. American healthcare system, sigh.

So far my Premera insurance has covered every OB appointment, every ultrasound & all lab work @ a 100%, so I haven't paid anything, I'm currently 24w5d, probably in Jan. 2017 I'll have to pay my deductible which is usually $250 (already paid it this year) but I'm not sure about the birth/hospital stay, we'll see in Feb. I guess :)

Last time it was around $5000. I was a csection. I'm expecting around the same. We have a 5000 family deductible.

I'm 31 weeks along, so far I've had two ultrasounds that cost $400 each, blood work 2 times that cost $100 each, and each time I go to an appointment I pee in a cup and that's $40 each time. I'll pay about $6000 for when my baby is born.
My insurance policy doesn't start covering until I come $6000 out of pocket. I don't know how much more I'd have to pay if I didn't have insurance though.
