Got baby to spin! Miles circut/spinning babies
My LO has been on the ROT position pretty much forever I think 😅. I'm 40+2 and he is still not engaged (ftm) so I was looking around the great Google to see if there was anything I could do to help us both out. I'm facing an induction in 5 days so I want to minimize the c-section risk as much as possible and hopefully not be in labor for 2days. I checked out "spinning babies" for some stretches and did the "miles circut". I've been trying for a few days now and nothing worked but last night I was having some good prelabor contractions and tried some of it again. This morning I woke up to his back being on my left side and I can feel his little feet on my right. I'm hoping now I can keep him that way and maybe the slight shift will help bring on labor! Anyone have success with this?
The ROT position is where the baby has his back on your right side and his feet are on your left so if you looked straight at your belly you'd see his profile. From what I've read this isn't ideal because most babies will turn to the posterior position in labor if they start like this. Or they'll come out sideways which is fine for some mom's and not for others. The liver gets in the way and won't let his back round out correctly so instead of going through the birth canal with the crown of his head he will try to enter with the Whole circumference of it closer to his forehead. This also stops pressure on the cervix and can mean a longer, harder labor with increased tears and chance of c-section especially with induction. My OB never mentioned his position or that it may be a problem this is just what I've read myself from some midwife websites. Idk. I'm excited. Hopefully it helps. I'll let you guys know if I got into labor any time soon!:]
