I'd do all I could to help him through it and to get him help but if it was destroying him and us then no I couldn't be with him.

It would be hard..i grew up with a dad who pawned all we had for crack...but i wouldnt leave my SO and id fight it out with him.
 He was there for me through that crap with my dad so i know he wouldnt want to do that to his kids.

If they were getting help yes. I couldn't be with someone that would willingly put themselves there and then not Want to get better (assuming this is about illicit drugs), plus if I ever felt that they and their addiction put me or anyone I care about in danger, that isn't them, then yeah, I'd probably leave. Even if I continued trying to help them as a friend at the very least.

I have dealt with too much drug abuse in my own family, if it were to ever happen, I would be leaving.
