contractions get worse at night?

Does anyone have more painful contractions at night vs daytime ? I can handle the pain during the daytime but when I go to bed it's so bad and make me think I am in labor but it gets mild and less frequent in the morning. I am 39weeks and 1day today. Does anyone know why?

Same! Every night I feel like I am going into labor, then I am fine during the day. #38weeks

Im not sure why but it happens to me too, I get all excited at night cause I think "omg this is it" then come morning- nothing.

I was told (by family not doctors) that if you have stronger contractions at night then youre likely to go into labor at night.

I've been having the same! Painful contractions for 2 hours at night... then nothing. Doula said it's preparing for labor... real deal please!!

I think its because the muscles are irritated from being used all day. Over night they relax again. Its weird. You are more likely to go into labour when u feel safe. My last pregnancy I went into labour at home at night but freaked out when I got to the hospital - I hate hospitals. My whole labour stopped!

I have the same dang issue! I never go in anymore. I just try to sleep and I always usually wake up with little to nothing or nothing. Like I'm over it. 😫😫😫 it's been doing this for like 2 weeks.

You are more relaxed in the evening which can bring on more BH. Mine were super bad at night when I first got them and now it's just bad all the time lol.
