Baby getting too big for infant carseat?

Question

So my baby was born pretty big, 10 lbs.. hes  3 months now , Im not sure how much he weighs at the moment but Im sure it's around 18 pounds. The carseat I have goes up to 22 pounds, but hes really long and his head almost reaches the top, Im not sure what kind of carseat to get now, because he cant carry his head too well yet, what kind should I get?

I'm a car seat technician :) most infant only car seats say that they have to have 1 inch between the top of their head and the end of the seat back. I would think about upgrading to a convertible seat so that you can continue to rear face for as long as you can. Feel free to message me if you need anything! Try a convertible car seat. It'll grow with him but it'll still support everything like an infant seat would

E went to a convertible car seat 2 weeks ago my baby is 3 months 17lbs 26.5 inches

He was born at 11lbs 12oz and 23inhes long
