Birth Story!

Due date was 10/31. At my last appt I was 2.5cm and 50% effaced. Scheduled to be induced 11/3 if she didn't arrive before. Woke up this morning (10/29) like normal. Started doing laundry and was getting waves of back pain with stomach tightening around 9:30am. Started timing them and they were 5ish minutes apart about 30 seconds long. Took a bath for a little bit. They stayed consistent for a couple hours. Went and walked at the park and had my bloody show. Took another bath around noon and they started to get really painful. Didn't want to talk or move during them. Decided to head to the hospital at 1. Live 30 minutes away and had to drop my oldest daughter off at a family members house. Got to the hospital at 2. Hooked up to monitors at 2:16. Got checked and was at 8cm! Finally got my IV in then it was time to push and she was born at 2:40 all natural. Did not have any time for pain medications. Thankfully it was a fast labor because the cord was wrapped around her neck and body. Braelynn born 10/29 at 2:40pm. 7lbs 14oz and 20.5 inches long!
