When does the third trimester start?

I'm 28 weeks exactly today! Am I considered to still be in the second trimester or have I finally made it to the third trimester?

Some say 27wks some say 28wks! Idk which is right but ur in the 3rd trimester! I'm 28wks today :)) not much longer!

I researches this online. Not that the internet is completely accurate woth everything but it seems between 26-28 weeks is third trimester. I believe they say this due to changes in growth of baby. A lot of times they get measured ahead of time or behind. I was 26 weeks when I got my ultrasound last and he was measuring 26 wks and 6 days. Right now I am in my 27 week so I announced the day of that I was in my 3rd trimester. It was my choice to decide since he measured pretty much an entire week ahead. March 30th baby maybe a March 24th baby born on his great grandpas birthday. Would be a lovely surprise. ☺️
