So my sons dad has been completely MIA for a couple months now. Since it's the day before Halloween hes decided he wants to see him now and texts me wanting to take our son out for Halloween by himself. He's never had him by himself....EVER! (He's not mentally stable and isn't really involved) our son is 18 months and hardly even knows who he is anymore. I told him he could come to do trick or treating at the mall with us for half an hour and of course that's not good enough for him. I don't think it's fair that I put in all the hard work it takes to be a parent, plus taking on the roles of both parents and the "fun stuff" is ruined for me because of him when I'm the one who deserves to get to do this stuff. His dad only comes around when it's something fun like this so he can take pictures to post all over social media. Am I in the wrong for limiting his time with him on Halloween for these reasons? Do you think I'm being reasonable? Is it fair?
