Is Halloween a evil Holiday?

Just wondering because my church celebrates Halloween but my Friends Church says it is evil and they don't even recognize it.

I believe it's a pagan holiday but I'd say it depends on how you celebrate it

It all depends on how you celebrate it. If the original meaning is something evil and you celebrate that part of it then yes. But is dressing up and taking kids to get candy evil no it's just something fun you get to do every year.

It really depends, whose to say for sure. I read an article last week from someone who used to be into occult practices and sacrifices. She wrote that more sacrifices happen that day than any other day( this is a proven fact in the United States) out of the year and if your celebrating it even in an innocent way like a party or trick or treating you still open yourself up to all the negative energy of that night. As a parent it's hard because I wouldn't want to take away my childrens right to dress up and do the church carnival or a party, but I also care more about their well being. It's a tough call really especially for Christians. But as a Christian you have to realize that all our Holidays are associated with pagan belief systems.
