False negative test????

Is it possible to get a false negative! I'm late and we have been TTC for about 7 months now and nothing. I also had spotting 2 weeks after previous cycle???

I get them all the time. But I test ways too early. Can't help myself.

Yes. Of course. You can get a false negative if you are testing to early or not using the first morning urine. But the likelihood if a false positive decreases each day. So if you are 7 days late, chance are it's just a skipped cycle rather than a false positive.

In rare cases home pregnancy tests do not work for a woman and she can only confirm pregnancy with blood test and ultrasound. But that is very rare!
