first period postpartum

I'm exclusively breast feeding and had my baby boy 8 weeks ago. I had stopped bleeding but then started spotting again around 6 weeks. It's been going on for three weeks now but it's quite a bit more than spotting now but not a full on period. Could this be my period? I'm confused.
