going to the beach for my honeymoon...is it okay to lay out?

We're going on our honeymoon to the gulf and have a beach front hotel (after having to cancel our carribbean cruise due to local Zika virus on each island), I want to spend as much time laying out as possible. Can I stay out all day as long as I stay hydrated and take frequent swim cool down breaks?

The biggest thing is you don't your temperature to get above 100 degrees - that can be dangerous. I'd bring a little thermometer and check your temporature periodically. When you get too warm, take a break in the shade. And drink lots of water!

Yes. I'd take a break from the sun all together everyone once and a while, go to the shade for a bit, but being in the sun is fine when pregnant. I went to Hawaii at 22 weeks with my son and spent plenty of time on the beach. But I did take breaks, used a lot of sunscreen and drank a lot of water.
