Sleep when the baby...
sleeps. Shut up. I vow to never say this to a new Mom. This phrase makes me instantly ignore anything else the person says to me. People need to stop saying this because it's all they can think to say. I'd rather hear, "Yeah, I know. It blows." "I am exhausted and cry all night, too." Let's be real.
1. The baby doesn't sleep. Did they? Idk, I was busy over there being a tornado that needs octopus arms to notice the baby slept.
2. The baby does not sleep long enough. By the time I clean up whatever I just finished doing for my baby and shut my eyes.. well, good morning Sunshine ☀️, how was your nap?!?!
3. So then when does me eating come into this? And pumping, and the 36 million other things I can't neglect completely.
4. Knowing I have 7.4 minutes to sleep, my eyes could not be more wide open. 👀
5. Oh hey there snoring husband, my brain would rather me stay up and be silently smothering you in your sleep than sleeping the few seconds before I'm awoken again.
I'm on the edge of chugging the gripe water myself any minute.
Love my baby. Just saying. 😒 Just a lighthearted rant, not to be taken seriously.
