40 weeks and 1 day and a very odd OB visit ladies help me

Ok so this is my third pregnancy and as I stated I am 40 weeks and 1 day. For the last 3 weeks I have been seeing the Nurse practionier in my OB office she checked me last week and I was between 1.5 cm and 2 cm. Now today I was booked to see the Midwife she checked me and told me that I'm not dilated at all and my baby's head is still high and floating around. Which didn't sound right to me or my fiancé, she then proceeded to say that if I don't deliver over the weekend I am going to have to be scheduled for a c-section. I am trying a VBAC, I have had 2 previous c-sections which she is well aware of and I told her the only way I am doing a c-section is if the baby is way too big to fit thru the birthing canal or I have a uterine rupture. She is totally going against my birthing plan what do you ladies think I should do? I am having so much pressure on my cervix and my butt so how is the baby's head floating and high I can barely walk without being in pain
