yeast infection

Okay so I had a yeast infection over a year ago that came about after I took antibiotics for a uti. The doctor gave me a pill a single one and it went away so quick. Now over a year later I have another yeast infection and it is hell. They gave me the fluconazole, for me to take one every 3 days so I have enough for 12 days. I took the very first one, at like 5/6pm today and I'm not sure how quick it is suppose to work but I don't feel any better. I literally want to rip my vagina out.
