Sanitizing pump parts?

Is it ok to not boil or microwave your pump parts? All i do is wash them in dish soap and hot water and that seems to get them clean enough. Do i have to sterilze the parts??

It's a good idea to sterilize every once in awhile. I do it once a week and wash like you the other days.

I would sanitize at least once a week. I was just washing them in hot soapy water at first and after a few weeks I notice mold starting to grow deep inside where the brush doesn't reach. I bought new parts and now I sanitize once a day and still wash with soap and water after every use.
