Stress Pimples?

Are stress pimples a thing?. I was fine earlier. Then this stupid little red one appeared on my chin and it won't go away. That's never happened before. Other than the normal occasional ones people get on their nose or arm or something like that or legs. Also... can that happen near your period. I mean... is that also a symptom?. Just wondering.
