When we get to being physical and start having sex, I don't make enough lube so we have to use Kay jelly and when he wants to do doggy, it hurts now. It didn't use to hurt. 
I had an ex who was longer and thicker and didn't hurt. But it hurts and it looks like a murder scene when we get finished.

It could be the angle you are at, try putting pillows underneath your legs and hands or try making him higher, or try arching your back. I've noticed that the angle needs to be just right for doggy, otherwise it hurts.

Using lube is totally normal, I like water based lube. Arch your back more or less and tell him to not go as deep.
