Cut contact with him before our baby is born?

My sister suggested, as has everyone else.. That I cut contact with my husband who I'm filing for divorce with. The reason being that he is an abuser and that is why I left, he's in his home country the US and I'm in mine..the UK.

He has still managed to upset and try control me even overseas because I let him! Now enough is enough.

I've been advised to cut contact , block him, not show him any baby pics so that way he can't see our son and get attached and want to visit as much. Is that right? Honestly this man is a nasty piece of work! I don't want my son anywhere near him
